He died having drafted only the first couple of movements. First he drafted them - surely wanted to draft more - but then he died. Young. That's the gist of every good Requiem, so the whole thing is delightfully self-referential.<\/p>\n<p>Here's Bruno Walter conducting Kyrie. Don't know Bruno Walter?
